The Mole goes all around the world to find a plant named Matricaria Chamomilla which, as the wise owl said, can heal Mole's friend - the little mouse. After having searched almost all over the world he learns that the famous plant is camomile, and it is growing right next to his mole-hill.
The mole has no money, and it's never been an obstacle for reaching his goals. When his friend the mouse gets sick, the mole starts searching for medication, which (as he finds out later) was growing right beneath his feet, next to his house. In order to take the train the mole clings to the rear carriage and rides it. This movement is called “zatzeping” and it was a very popular activity in Russia: young kids catching trains by getting on the roof.

Mole (Czech: Krtek, Krteček ) is an animated character in a series of cartoons created by Czech animator Zdeněk Miler. The premiere of the first short film with Mole took place at the Venice Film Festival in 1957.[1] Since its inception, the cartoon has gained enormous popularity in many Central European countries, as well as India, China, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Finland, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Iran, Iraq, Norway, and Japan.
The idea for Krtek came about when Miler wanted to create a cartoon that would explain children the processing of flax. Miler knew that he wanted a strong Disney influence by having an animal as the main character. He said that he got the idea while stumbling over a molehill during a walk
